Round 1 of the Survivor Golf Series was sponsored by Fleet Plant Hire Solutions and played at The Sands, Torquay Golf Course. It was perfect weather for golf and the course was presented in magnificent condition.
The Sands, Torquay offers accommodation and a restaurant that has picturesque views over the golf course.

Excited players arrived early to practice and joined in putting competitions and raffles prior to tee off. One lucky player won a brand new Qi10 TaylorMade driver. This undoubtedly assisted him in winning a longest drive prize later in the day!
We witnessed some spectacular golf shots and plenty of wayward shots.
With  three holes to go, Max and Caddie, Birdie Bandits and Team Sizz were heading towards victory and it looked like we would be heading to a three way playoff!
But this scenario did not eventuate.
Max and Caddie produced some exceptional golf in the final holes and surged to the lead with an eagle, birdie, birdie finish to take out the win with a score of Nett 13 under.

The winners were presented with a golden ticket, flight vouchers and two nights accommodation at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas.
They are the first team to qualify for the Survivor Golf Series Grand Final to be played on December 8th, 2024 at Palmer Sea Reef Golf Course, Port Douglas.
