Round 16 of the Drummond Golf Survivor Series took us to Yeppoon Golf Course on the magnificent Capricorn Coast, just above the Tropic of Capricorn, at the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef.

With exceptional playing conditions, we saw a full field of 100 players tee off in beautiful 24 degrees and the excitement and skill level shown across the day didn’t disappoint.

We witnessed some incredible eagles; some fantastic birdies and par saves and multiple balls sailing into houses. All I can say is lucky it is a 2 person Ambrose!

We had six teams finish within 2 shots of the eventual winners, Sure Shank Redemption, who finished at nett 14 under including two eagles which was a brilliant effort!

The winning team Rod Chapman and Alex Chapman got off to a flyer and finished strong with an impressive score. Hopefully they can bring this playing style with them to the Port Douglas finals later this year!
