Hosted by Half Moon Bay Golf Club the latest round of the Drummond Golf Survivor Series took place in Yorkeys Knob for another fantastic tournament in Far North Queensland!
With a packed field of over 100 players and a sold out round – presented by J and R Refrigeration, the event kicked off with live music from our very own DrewBoy and BBQ lunch, thanks to Mighty Meats.
With exciting prizes on every hole, including the hole-in-one activation with the chance to win a $30,000 car all thanks to Trinity Auto Group, players were kept on the edge, vying to get that hole in one prize.
We saw two teams leading straight out of the gates, Paul and Scott from Team Modcon and Rob and Liam playing for Team J & R Refrigeration. It was great to see local teams sitting at the top of the leader board and then take out the qualifier.
Modcon (Paul and Scott) played some incredible golf making 2 x 30 foot birdie putts, 1 that we caught on camera.
J & R Refrigeration ( Liam and Rob ) used local knowledge and fantastic team tactics to produce an amazing sub par round. Liam dominating the driver and Rob showing his class around the greens.
With a score of Nett -12 Under with 2 holes to go, the dangerous lightning siren stopped players in their tracks and with a unanimous vote amongst the team at Survivor Golf it was decided to see both teams through to the Grand Final in Port Douglas.
Stan Stone (Live Music) then dominated the after match festivities and many hours were spent reflecting on the day’s events and celebrating the winners.
Such an awesome day out at Half Moon Bay, and two more teams sending it to Port Douglas in Survivor Style.
